The State Workforce Investment Board (SWIB) is the governance body for the workforce development, one-stop services delivery system as designated under the 2014 WIOA Act. There are 33 Local Workforce Development Boards (LWDB's) throughout New York State, all of which serve local areas within 10 major regions.
Workforce planning is a continual process used to align the needs and priorities of New York State’s workforce and economic development objectives. The WIOA Act requires workforce planning at the State, Regional and Local levels.
NYSDOL is excited to announce our new Staff Training and Events Calendar, which will enable all workforce professionals across the state to view upcoming events, including webinars, weekly conference calls, and training that is held via videoconference.
