Overview

If you are receiving unemployment benefits, you may be required to meet with a career counselor to sustain your benefits. If you are looking for a career change, counselors are available to consult with you, create a resume, and help you find jobs in your field.

The Workforce Scheduler is where you will:

  • View appointment letters,
  • Reschedule appointments,
  • Find your meeting links,
  • Schedule and attend workshops,
  • Receive notifications.

How it Works

  1. Go to my.NY.gov to log in or create an account.
  2. Update your NY.gov profile to receive text message notifications.
  3. Click on Workforce Scheduler.
  4. View upcoming appointments or workshops on your portal.
  5. Read your appointment letter.
  6. Complete any required forms.
  7. Schedule future appointments or enroll in a workshop.
  8. Attend your appointment!

Email and Text Messaging Help

The Workforce Scheduler improves communication between you and the Department of Labor. By using email or text messages, we can more efficiently and quickly notify you of appointments or changes to your status. You can opt-in or opt-out of text messages at any time.

  • Email messages will be sent from: [email protected]
  • Text messages will be sent from: (833) 322-1260

We recommend you add the email address and/or phone number above to your contacts to quickly recognize messages from the New York State Department of Labor.

 

Text Messaging Help

Set up Scheduler text messaging on your NY.gov account.

  • Click your name on the bar at the top of the screen and select Account Profile.
  • Select Change Full Registration information and opt in to receiving text messages.
  • You will receive a text message from (833) 322-1260
  • Follow any instructions provided.

To disable Scheduler text messaging, text STOP to (833) 322-1260.

If you Opted Out of Scheduler text messaging and would like to opt back in text START to (833) 322-1260.

Please note - Scheduler texts come from a no-reply number.  You will not be able to send a text message or call that number.
