Change in Nonfarm Jobs since December 2023
For the 12-month period ending December 2024, the nonfarm job count in the Utica-Rome metro increased 800, or 0.6%, to 125,100. Private sector employment grew 600, or 0.6%, to 94,800.
Job gains were posted in private education and health services (+1,000) and government (+200).
Job losses occurred in manufacturing (-300) and trade, transportation, and warehousing (-200).
