Change in Nonfarm Jobs since November 2023
For the 12-month period ending November 2024, the nonfarm job count in the Utica-Rome metro increased 1,800, or 1.5%, to 125,700. Private sector employment grew 1,500, or 1.6%, to 95,300.
Job gains were posted in private education and health services (+1,300), government (+300), and mining, logging, and construction (+200).
Job losses were recorded in manufacturing (-200).
