Developments in the Capital Region Labor Market

From May 2023 to May 2024, the number of nonfarm jobs in the Albany-Schenectady-Troy MSA increased 8,200 or 1.8 percent, while the number of private sector jobs increased 5,900 or 1.6 percent. During this same period, the number of nonfarm jobs in the Glens Falls MSA increased 200 or 0.4 percent, while the number of private sector jobs increased 300 or 0.7 percent. The tables below present additional industry details.
