For the 12-month period ending April 2026, the nonfarm job count in the Utica-Rome metro decreased -600, or -0.5%, to 123,500. Private sector employment grew +200, or +0.2%, to 93,400.
Job gains were posted in private education and health services (+400), and leisure and hospitality (+200).
Job losses occurred in government (-800), professional and business services (-500), and manufacturing (-200).
