Change in Nonfarm Jobs since September 2023
For the 12-month period ending September 2024, the nonfarm job count in the Utica-Rome metro increased 1,700, or 1.4%, to 124,000. Private sector employment grew 1,200, or 1.3%, to 94,400.
Job gains were posted in private education and health services (+1,400) and government (+500).
Job losses occurred in manufacturing (-300).
