Change in Nonfarm Jobs since May 2023
For the 12-month period ending May 2024, the nonfarm job count in the Utica-Rome metro increased 1,600, or 1.3%, to 124,900. Private sector employment grew 1,000, or 1.1%, to 94,800.
Job gains were posted in private education and health services (+900), government (+600), and mining, logging, and construction (+200).
Job losses occurred in trade, transportation, and utilities (-200).
