Change in Nonfarm Jobs since October 2023
For the 12-month period ending October 2024, the nonfarm job count in the Utica-Rome metro increased 1,000, or 0.8%, to 125,000. Private sector employment grew 800, or 0.9%, to 94,800.
Job gains were posted in private education and health services (+1,100) and government (+200).
Job losses occurred in manufacturing (-300).
