Developments in the Mohawk Valley Labor Market
For the 12-month period ending December 2022, the nonfarm job count in the Utica-Rome MSA increased 2,100, or 1.7 percent, to 123,500. Private sector employment rose 1,500, or 1.6 percent, to 92,800.
Job gains were posted in: education and health services (+1,000), government (+600), other services (+300), and leisure and hospitality (+200).
