For the 12-month period ending August 2025, the nonfarm job count in the Utica-Rome metro increased +1,300, or +1.1%, to 123,400. Private sector employment grew +1,000, or +1.1%, to 93,700.
Job gains were posted in private education and health services (+1,500), government (+300), and mining, logging, and construction (+200).
Job losses were centered in manufacturing (-500).
