Farm Labor Contractor Registration

Farm Labor Contractors and Growers who Employ Farm Labor Contractors:

Any individual who charges a fee to recruit, transport, supply, hire, or supervise farm or food processing workers on behalf of a third party is a Farm Labor Contractor and must register in New York State.

This may include crew leaders, crew bosses, and supervisors who engage in the aforementioned activities.

Registering as a Farm Labor Contractor in New York State is free.

Forms

Applications for Farm Labor Contractor Certificate of Registration are now online.  Business contractors should use form LS 113.1CON.  Individual contractors should use form LS 113.1IND.

For easier and faster service, apply for your certificate online through MPWR. This completely online system speeds up the application process and makes information about applications readily available, so we encourage all applicants to use MPWR for all their application needs. Using MPWR, you can:

  • Submit and upload the required documentation
  • Receive real-time updates about the status or issues with respect to their application
