The Job Openings and Labor Turnover Survey (JOLTS) program provides information on labor demand and turnover, and covers all private nonfarm establishments, as well as civilian federal, state, and local government entities in the 50 states and the District of Columbia. New York State estimates are published for job openings, hires, quits, layoffs and discharges, and total separations. Additional information about the JOLTS program can be found at www.bls.gov/jlt/.
