Christine Buttigieg, Office of Communications Deputy Commissioner

As the Deputy Commissioner for Communications, Christine oversees the Department’s strategic communications, which includes the press, photographer/videographer, social media, graphic design, intergovernmental affairs, and digital teams.

Career Background: Christine spent the first 15 years of her career in local television news in both Albany and Washington, DC. She then transitioned to State service, spending seven years at the NYS Justice Center prior to joining the DOL.

Education: Christine holds a dual BS from Syracuse University in Broadcast Journalism and Political Science.
