Child Care Resource and Referral Agencies provide services to parents and day care providers in every county of New York State. Based on your child care needs, it can give you a list of providers that are right for you.
The Child Care Subsidy Program can help parents/caretakers pay for some or all the cost of child care services.
The Office of Children and Family Services is administering $2.9 billion in funding for families and child care providers through the Child Care Development Fund, the Coronavirus Aid, Relief and Economic Security (CARES) Act, the American Rescue Plan Act, and the Coronavirus Response and Relief Supplemental Act. This summer, OCFS will accept applications to support child care scholarships for essential workers, child care subsidy payments for families, personal protective equipment, and to expand child care capacity in underserved areas. To date, OCFS has made $140 million available to child care providers, essential workers, and working families who need child care.
