What You Need to Know
- If your business is forced to close, you should provide required notices as soon as possible and identify the circumstances that required the closure. Warn notices DO NOT need to be submitted to DOL from businesses that employ less than 50 full-time employees. - Governor Cuomo enacted a law that provides benefits - including sick leave, paid family leave, and disability benefits - to New York employees impacted by mandatory or precautionary orders of quarantine or isolation due to COVID-19. Workforce Survey Results
In March 2021, the New York State Department of Labor (DOL) and The Business Council of New York State partnered to conduct a comprehensive survey of New York State businesses focused on workforce development.
