Mission
The Workforce Investment Board is designed to strategically plan, develop, and manage the state’s workforce development system to promote labor market efficiency and accessibility.
The Board is responsible for helping the Governor create and improve the State’s Workforce Development Plan and maintaining State performance measures. They develop best practices for One-Stop Career Centers, Local Workforce Development Boards (LWDB), and training programs, while also setting requirements for One-Stop Career Centers. Additionally, the Board seeks ways to improve technology and accessibility, ensures data systems work well together, creates formulas for sharing employment funds, writes yearly reports, and tracks statewide labor market information.

Member Information
The members serve without salary or other compensation. They are eligible for reimbursement for qualifying expenses incurred in the performance of their duties.
