  • Receive an IRS or Tax Bill Without Receiving Unemployment Benefits? You may be a victim of unemployment identity fraud. Before you contact the Department of Labor, read the important information, including instructions for reporting the fraud to the correct government agency and getting your tax documents updated, under "Unemployment Fraud and Tax Bills" on our Report Fraud webpage.

  • 1099-G Tax Form Update: By the end of January, New Yorkers who received unemployment benefits in 2022 should have received a copy of their 1099-G in the mail unless you opted out of having the form mailed. All New Yorkers who received unemployment benefits in 2022 can now view and print their 1099-G tax forms on our website. For more information about the form, visit our 1099-G webpage.
